Location:Vienna VA Hybrid (1 day a week in-office)
About the Role
Profitable stable and growing government contractor seeking an Senior Accountant to own the monthly close and core accounting operations. This is a high-ownership role offering day-to-day autonomy while partnering directly with the CFO for guidance mentorship and strategic development.
Key Responsibilities
- Own month-end close journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare accurate financial statements and management reporting
- Support FAR- and DCAA-compliant accounting practices
- Assist with billing across FFP T&M and Cost-Reimbursable contracts
- Support labor charging indirect rates and audit readiness
- Maintain and optimize accounting processes in Unanet
What Were Looking For
- 58 years of GovCon accounting experience
- Hands-on Unanet experience required
- Strong knowledge of FAR and DCAA compliance
- Bachelors degree in Accounting
- CPA/CMA a plus not required
