Position Overview:
As an Industrial Youth Apprentice located at our Fond du Lac Mercury Racing Plant you will join a dynamic team with a winning culture. This position offers a unique opportunity to work within a team performing independent work within the QC4 Engine assembly area which supports all of the QC4 engine assembly activities to include building of the long block prepping for paint building sub-assemblies dressing the engine and readying it for dyno testing as well as post dyno testing activities and prepping for shipping to our customers.

Essential Functions:
- Work safely and efficiently in a manufacturing assembly environment especially when it comes to industrial safety best practices.
- Inspect parts for unacceptable blemishes and make the Group Lead aware of questionable parts - reference drawings &/or work instructions as necessary.
- Operate varying hand tools to include ratchets wrenches manual torque wrenches as well as DC & cordless tools as needed.
- Perform necessary prep activities including wearing required PPE cleaning parts using various cleaning systems retrieving required parts from various departmental staging areas and performing assembly activities in accordance with work instructions.
- Pay attention to details for a given part being worked with or assembled to ensure quality & customer expectations are met.
- Follow all Youth Apprentice State Program Guidelines.
- Never perform a job you dont feel safe doing and ask questions so this can be the best learning experience possible.

Required Qualifications:
- Must be a high school student enrolled in the WI Youth Apprenticeship Program
- A growth mindset always looking for ways to improve.
- Desire to be hands on and learn the process of building World Class Marine Engines.
Working Conditions:
- Small manufacturing environment that is climate controlled as necessary to support the activities being performed. Summer months can be warmer in areas of the plant.
- 1st shift opportunities.
- Typical shift time is 5:30 am 2:00 pm with potential for some shift flexibility.
The anticipated pay range for this position is $18-20 hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills relevant experience and business needs.
At Brunswick it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidates qualifications and the business context.
