Position Summary

As an integral part of the Strategic Engagement team and under the supervision of the Director of Engagement Operations the Associate Director of Engagement Operations supports efforts to establish and steward meaningful relationships with current and future donors through donor communication including acknowledgements and routine reporting and stewardship programs. This position will also help maintain data integrity around donor information and awards and assist with fund management for funds that require reporting. The successful candidate will be an analytical thinker who can manage multiple projects.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the preparation of gift acknowledgements for WashU Medicine and Siteman Cancer Center according to our acknowledgement plan which includes writing acknowledgements from leadership and managing the delivery of acknowledgements through mail and our CMS Marketing Cloud.

  • Manage the annual stewardship process for scholarship reporting including ensuring funds are awarded; creating and sending student profiles to donors; creating and sending donor profiles to student recipients; and working with the medical alumni engagement team on events to connect scholarship donors and students.

  • Assist with coordinating and implementing required stewardship reporting for individual donors (or their representatives). These could include research funds professorships fellowships award funds and lecture funds.

  • Research and compile information to maintain stewardship and award records in University Advancements database.

  • Assist and follow up with special projects related to donor recognition including but not limited to special publications plaques physical spaces (interior and exterior) and temporary projects.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Salary Range

$58400.00 - $99700.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including ones qualifications and performance equity with others in the department market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
