Job Description:

Prepress Artist is responsible for preparing artwork and digital files for high-quality printing. Primary purpose is to ensure that all visual materials such as packaging marketing material labels etc. are technically accurate print-ready and optimized for the intended production process. Primary purpose is to create/modify artwork for the Sales Service. Must have strong organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal direction.

Required Knowledge:

Good understanding of manufacturing processes. Good to high understanding of PC and Macintosh. Knowledge of all related computer applications including Illustrator Photoshop Suitcase Fusion & Microsoft Suite.

Experience and Education:

- High school graduate or equivalent.

- College or technical degree preferred in related fields such as graphic design visual communication or printing technology.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is $22 to $25 an hour bonus benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range individual pay is determined by job-related skills experience and relevant education or training. At Novolex it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
