Job Summary
This is a remote position.
JOB Title: AutoCAD Drafter
Rate: 10AUD/hour
Type: 30 hours per week
Purpose: The positions primary responsibility is to create technical drawings to help design floor plans to build real estate or architectural projects. This highly-trained draftsman will work with architects and engineers to design and create 3D computer models of buildings from blueprints or from scratch.
Qualifications:
Must have a relevant experience as a Drafter.
Proficiency in AutoCAD is a MUST. Experience with Solidworks is a PLUS
Interpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clients
Written and verbal communication skills - needed for communicating with a range of people both internally and externally
Team Working skills and a collaborative approach to work
Decision-making skills
The ability to multitask and prioritize your workload
The ability to think strategically
A flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced ever-changing environment
Experience working for an Australian construction company is a MUST
Understanding of local council guidelines
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare technical drawings using AutoCAD (2d) and Solidworks (3d) software
Work with engineers and other professionals to produce drawings that meet their specifications
Write related technical documents such as material lists and cost estimates
Ensure that all drawings are accurate and meet industry standards
Maintain a library of standard drawing templates
Update existing drawings as new information becomes available
Required Skills:
Drafting AutoCAD Solidworks Experience working with Australia-based clients
