Job Summary

Electrical Service Engineer installs maintains repairs and troubleshoots industrial or commercial electrical systems equipment and components. They ensure systems meet safety standards through regular inspections and testing provide on-site technical support and often work with PLCs and control panels to minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Repair: Performing routine preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on electrical machinery and systems.

Troubleshooting: Diagnosing electrical faults faults in circuits and malfunctioning equipment using specialized diagnostic tools.

Installation & Testing: Installing new electrical components and testing systems to ensure efficiency and safety compliance.

Technical Support: Offering on-site or remote guidance to clients regarding equipment operation and troubleshooting.

Documentation: Maintaining detailed service reports maintenance logs and technical documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 3 years in electrical system maintenance troubleshooting and repair.

Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical codes (e.g. NEC) safety standards (e.g. OSHA) and PLC systems.

Tools: Proficient in using electrical testing tools diagnostic software and electrical schematics.

Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving communication and client-facing skills along with a willingness to travel for on-site services.

Required Skills:

Proven experience as an electrician. Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems. Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers voltmeter etc.) ... Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
