Job Summary
electrician installs maintains and repairs electrical power lighting control and communication systems in residential commercial or industrial settings. Key responsibilities include reading blueprints troubleshooting faults repairing fixtures and ensuring all work complies with electrical codes safety regulations and building standards.

Core Responsibilities
Installation: Installing wiring circuit breakers transformers lighting fixtures and control systems.
Maintenance & Repair: Inspecting troubleshooting and fixing faulty electrical components machinery and wiring.
Technical Compliance: Following blueprints technical diagrams and National Electrical Codes (NEC) to ensure safety.
Diagnostic Testing: Using testing devices like voltmeters ammeters and ohmmeters to identify hazards or issues.
Safety & Planning: Following safety procedures (e.g. Lockout/Tagout) preparing cost estimates and planning layout for new installations.

Requirements & Skills
Education: High school diploma or GED plus completion of an apprenticeship program and/or technical school training.
Licensing: Valid electrician license (Journeyman or Master) as required by state or local regulations.
Experience: Proven field experience in residential commercial or industrial electrical systems.
Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of electrical theory circuitry and modern materials.
Physical Ability: Ability to stand for long periods lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces or at heights.
Required Skills:
Proven experience as an electrician. Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems. Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers voltmeter etc.) ... Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
