We currently have an opportunity to join our Compliance Team as a Compliance Advisor.
Your role
We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Compliance Advisor to support ESSL in meeting its legal regulatory and governance obligations. This varied role plays a key part in maintaining compliance frameworks supporting ISO standards managing risk and data protection processes and promoting continuous improvement across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain ISO standards (including liaison with external auditors)
- Support organisational risk management and internal investigations
- Manage data protection processes including SARs FOI and EIR requests
- Investigate data protection breaches and non-compliance issues
- Support business continuity and emergency planning activities
- Coordinate and administer training using Evotix
- Review and maintain policies and procedures
- Provide administrative support to compliance governance and workplace investigations.
About You
- Strong administrative organisational and communication skills
- Experience working to deadlines in a fast paced environment
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Teams Outlook Word and Excel)
- Knowledge of GDPR and data protection legislation
- High attention to detail with a confidential and analytical approach
- Able to build effective working relationships at all levels
This role may require occasional work outside normal hours and regular travel between sites. A commitment to continuous professional development and ESSLs values is essential.
