The Impact of the Role:
You will be the reliable support that Wakefields busiest nurseries rely on. Whether youre in a high-energy city setting or a village preschool in Horbury you will implement the EYFS through hands-on play. Your day involves everything from phonics and messy play to supporting mealtime routines and ensuring a high standard of care. You are the professional that permanent teams rely on to keep the "storytime" magic alive.
Requirements
The Qualification Bar:
Qualified Tiers: Must hold a Level 2 or 3 in Childcare/Early Years. Early Years is a specialist field; Health & Social Care or TA qualifications are not accepted for qualified rates.
Unqualified Tier: Staff with significant nursery experience but other qualifications are encouraged to apply as Unqualified Assistants.
The 2025 Standard: A Full PFA certificate is mandatory for ratio compliance. If you havent sat the course you must be willing to complete this immediately.
