We are currently recruiting for a Fabric Technician to work at a high-profile site in Elstree. This is a full-time temporary role ideal for someone with a strong background in building maintenance and carpentry.
Working hours:
40 hours per week (shift pattern to be confirmed)
About the role:
You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of fabric and general maintenance tasks ensuring the site is maintained to a high standard and all works are completed safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities:
- Responding to reactive maintenance tasks within agreed timescales
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Repairing floor and wall coverings
- Ceiling tile repairs and replacements
- General building maintenance and minor project works
- Basic plumbing lighting and filter changes (AHUs / FCUs)
- Conducting site surveys and preparing method statements and risk assessments
- Using PDA systems to log work and updates
- Liaising with client representatives on-site
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a Fabric Technician or similar role
- Carpentry qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent)
- Experience in a high-profile or commercial environment
- Good understanding of health & safety (COSHH working at height risk assessments)
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- IT literate and comfortable using handheld/PDA systems
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
- IOSH/NEBOSH (desirable)
