The Role
The Medical People are recruiting on behalf of a client. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Optometrist to join a highly experienced clinical team in a modern Milton Keynes clinic. You will work alongside ophthalmologists and other eye care professionals contributing to the delivery of high-quality clinical services across a diverse patient base.
This role offers a varied clinical workload including:
- Pre- and post-operative consultations for refractive and cataract surgery patients
- Providing clinical support to ophthalmologists
- Conducting essential and advanced eye examinations

- Fully qualified Optometrist registered with the General Optical Council (GOC)
- Ability to provide high-quality clinical care and patient-focused service
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Interest in or willingness to develop within refractive and cataract services
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary clinical team
- Commitment to continuous professional development
Desirable (but not essential):
- Independent Prescribing qualification (or willingness to undertake)
- Previous experience in post-operative care or hospital/clinical settings
- Experience working with advanced diagnostic equipment
