RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support therapists in delivering effective patient-centred care programmes
- Assist patients with activities of daily living mobility and rehabilitation exercises
- Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary team to support and implement patient care plans
- Prepare and maintain therapy areas and equipment
- Assist in both individual and group therapy sessions
- Monitor and report patient progress concerns or changes in condition
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Ensure a safe clean and supportive environment at all times
- Communicate effectively with patients families and colleagues
- Adhere to all health & safety infection control and organisational policies
Requirements
- QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support Nursing Studies or a related field
- Previous experience in a healthcare or care support setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A compassionate patient-centred approach
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Comfortable following direction and working under supervision
- Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- Experience supporting therapy or care programmes is desirable
- Basic IT skills for record-keeping and documentation
