Plant Maintenance Worker (Stittsville, ON)

Tomlinson Ready Mix is seeking to hire a Plant Maintenance Workerfor our concrete plant in Stittsville ON. This position will require workingMonday Friday from 6:30AM to 4:30PM. May be required to work night or weekend work.

DUTIES AND REPSONSIBILITIES

• Daily inspections and maintenance of the plant
• Physically demanding involves labour work and lifting various objects
• Ability to operate various types of equipment loader skid steer and man lift
• Ability to work at heights such as man lift dust collector bags and being able to go to the top of the silo
• Must be able to work alone and be self-motivated
• Computer knowledge is a asset must be able to process work and parts orders
• Basic understanding of electrical knowledge
• Perform snow removal in winter months

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

The expected salary range for this position is $27.00 - $36.00 per hour. Placement within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2-5 years of experience working in a plant maintenance role
• Prior concrete experience is an asset
• Welding experience is an asset
• Bilingual is an asset
• Plumbing experience would be an asset
• Good understanding of the plant operations
• Must be mechanically inclined

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Working in tight awkward spaces bending crawling twisting
• Working at heights reaching climbing
• Lifting objects up to approximately 50 pounds
• Required to use motor coordination with arms hands fingers and legs
• Will be exposed to dirt dust odors noise and weather extremes
• May be required to work nights or weekend
