Software Developer - Integration Engineer

In this role you will be responsible for designing and implementing seamless integrations between Rentrax Web-based application and hardware devices such as smarlocks and IoT devices and various third-party software applications.

The Role Details:

$55000 - $65000 base salary

Hybrid role - 2025 Willingdon Ave Burnaby BC

Start date as soon as possible

Responsibilities and duties:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and design integration solutions.

Develop and maintain APIs to facilitate communication between diverse hardware and software components.

Integrate hardware devices and other software applications with our web-based platforms ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

Configure and optimize AWS services including but not limited to Lambda API Gateway and S3.

Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues conducting thorough testing to ensure the robustness of integrated systems.

Stay abreast of industry trends emerging technologies and advancements in integration methodologies.

Work closely with other software developers hardware engineers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality integrated solutions.

The Candidate

Individuals with the following traits skills and experiences should apply:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field.

Proven experience working as a Software Developer with a focus on integration engineering.

Strong expertise in integrating hardware devices and various software applications with web-based platforms.

Proficiency in developing and maintaining RESTful APIs.

Experience with AWS services with a willingness to learn and expand AWS skillset.

Solid understanding of web-based application development and best practices.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.

Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

Nice to Have Qualifications:

AWS certification(s) is a strong plus.

Familiarity with other cloud platforms and integration tools.

Experience with DevOps practices for continuous integration and deployment.

Passion for staying updated on emerging technologies and integrating them into existing systems
