Job Summary
BG Global is hiring for a leading carpet manufacturing and export company with a strong global presence. Our client is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Design Associate to support the development of premium handmade rug collections and global retail product lines. This role will contribute to design execution sampling and artwork development while ensuring alignment with creative direction market trends and production feasibility.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development of rug designs across both high-end and retail collections
- Execute design artworks colorways and repeats using CAD and Adobe tools
- Assist in sampling coordination with production and weaving teams
- Maintain and organize design files archives and mood boards
- Translate design concepts into production-ready formats
- Contribute creative inputs and stay updated on design and market trends
- Ensure accuracy in design specifications and documentation
Requirements
- Develop and support design concepts for rug and textile collections across both premium handcrafted and volume-driven retail segments
- Create and execute design artworks colorways and patterns using CAD and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & Illustrator)
- Apply a strong sense of color pattern and aesthetics to deliver commercially viable and visually compelling designs
- Collaborate closely with design sampling and production teams to ensure smooth execution of concepts into finished products
- Incorporate understanding of textile structures and production processes to ensure design feasibility
- Contribute to the development of handmade rug categories including hand-knotted and hand-tufted products
- Stay updated on global design trends customer preferences and market insights to bring fresh ideas into collections
- Manage multiple design tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain organized design files documentation and references with strong attention to detail
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams demonstrating a collaborative and proactive approach
- Show initiative creativity and a strong willingness to learn and grow within the design function
