Sony Corporation of America is seeking an individual with experience in State Tax to support our global tax department in New York City NY.The TaxAccountantwillassistwithall elementsofvarious indirectstate tax compliance reportingandauditsprocesses. This position will report toManagerof State and Local Taxes.

This is a Hybrid Role requiring 3-4 days onsite in our NYC office.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare700businesspersonal propertyreturnsfor 39 reportable states covering over 200 variousjurisdictions

• Log and review over400property taxassessment notices500 property tax bills and any open appeals

• Preparequarterly and annualized NY commercial rent tax returns billboard and signage familiarity preferred

• Preparevarious other state and local tax returnsincludingSan Francisco gross receipts/homeless taxannual reports and Delaware Franchise Tax

• Administer and oversee data related to the formationdissolutionand ownership structureof legal entities within the tax group

• Assistwith training of affiliates worldwide interact with accounting financeandoperating business unit teams

• Maintainthe tax departments compliancecalendar

• Keep current on state legislative changes and developments

• Facilitateand championprocess improvement initiatives within the taxgroupto enhance efficiency through theintroductionof innovative solutions and collaboration with other tax specialty groups
