The Opportunity:
Washington State University Office of the Provost is now accepting applications for an Academic Coordinator/Advisor. This role is a centrally deployed professional whose primary responsibility is to provide quality holistic academic advising and coaching services to students through the Academic Success & Career Center (ASCC). As the Academic Coordinator/Advisor your duties and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to) carrying an academic advising load reflecting a diverse student population coordinating the ASCC tutoring program participating in the delivery of ASCC services including drop-in advising student workshops reinstatement activities and related events. You will also represent ASCC at recruitment and orientation programs.

This is a full time (100% FTE) permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.
This is an on-site/in-person role located in Pullman WA.
Monthly Salary: $4162.54 to $4574.20 Commensurate with experience and qualifications
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidates current experience education skills and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and two (2) years of experience working with students in an educational setting or related field a Masters degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience.Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a yearforyear basis
Strong interpersonal communication and active listening skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in higher education counseling student affairs or a related field
Experience providing academic advising or academic coaching to college students
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse student populations
Experience coordinating or supporting tutoring coaching or academic support programs
Experience teaching university level courses and/or delivering workshops presentations or groupbased programming
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a studentcentered fastpaced environment
