Purpose and Objective:

SAP America aDeveloperat ourChicago IL locationto write high-quality testable code to develop first-class software.

Expectations and Tasks:

Designbuildand implement enterprise-class security systems for a production environment. Work closely with other teams (e.g. QA DBA support) to efficiently deploy to production. Execute unit and system testing of the design once the solution has been developed. Utilize current security tools and technologies. Ability to analyze and solve issues in existing and new code. Design activities include requirement analysis and design documentation.

Education andOccupational Experience:

Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science Engineeringor a related field of studyand one (1) year of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively aMastersdegree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science Engineeringor a related field of study.

Qualifications/Skills and Competencies Experience:

Prior experienceinternshipor academic coursework must include each of the following:

Web application development using Java Struts JavaScript and JSP;

SQL development including PostgreSQL Microsoft SQL Server orMyBatisframework;

Web and application security including OWASP OSS upgrades and SAML;

CI/CD with BambooBitBucket JIRAGithub or Jenkins;

Unix Linux and Windows scripting;

Docker and Kubernetes; and

Observability frameworks includingSumoLogic Apache Kafka and O365 Calendar integrations.

Compensation Range Transparency: The annualbase salary range for this position is$108077- $137700.SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step towarddemonstratingSAPs commitment to pay equity. SAPprovidesthe annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is$108077- $153000. The actualamount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education skills experience scope of the role location etc. asdeterminedthrough the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollaramountand any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
