Job Summary
Join a reputable employer in the Farmingdale NY area that is expanding and hiring several experienced Diesel Truck Mechanics to maintain and repair heavy-duty diesel trucks. Mechanics will perform repairs and maintenance on a wide variety of vehicles including semi-trucks dump trucks box trucks flatbed trucks Reefer trucks five tons box trucks and more.

Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance services
- Maintain work area safety
- Conduct diesel repairs service and diagnostics
- Service customers and handle road calls
- Diagnose and repair malfunctions
- Work with minimal supervision
- Inspect trucks for proper working condition
- Perform routine maintenance
- Inspect test and diagnose defective equipment
- Repair major components (engine transmission differentials)
- Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements
Requirement:
- 3 years of diesel/automotive mechanic experience
- Strong diagnostic troubleshooting skills
- Must have basic computer skills
- Diesel Mechanic/Technician training (a plus)
- Valid drivers license required; CDL preferred
- Strong communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have your own set of tools
