Embedded Electronics Quality Control Inspector (PCB / Electronics Experience Required)

Position Overview
We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector with electronics assembly experience to inspect embedded electronic products throughout the production process. This role ensures that components printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) and finished systems meet engineering specifications and internal quality standards.
You will work closely with Manufacturing Engineering Production and Logistics to verify product quality and support root cause investigations when issues arise.
Key Responsibilities
Electronics Inspection
- Inspect incoming electronic components fabricated items and PCB assemblies for compliance with specifications and drawings
- Perform in-process and final inspection of embedded electronic products
- Verify solder quality component placement labeling and workmanship
Quality Verification
- Confirm products meet engineering documentation assembly drawings and inspection criteria
- Document inspection results and record quality data
- Disposition conforming and non-conforming material per internal procedures
Non-Conformance & MRB Support
- Investigate routine nonconformances and support Materials Review Board (MRB) activities
- Maintain records and ensure proper handling and documentation of non-conforming material
- Assist with identifying root causes of recurring quality issues
Production Coordination
- Coordinate inspection scheduling with Production and Engineering
- Track inspection times to support quoting and planning
Equipment & Documentation
- Ensure inspection tools and measurement equipment remain calibrated
- Maintain inspection documentation records and work instructions
Requirements
Required Experience
Applicants must have experience working with electronic assemblies or embedded electronics products including at least one of the following:
- Inspection of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs)
- Solder joint inspection (SMT or through-hole)
- Electronics manufacturing or repair environments
- Reading electronic assembly drawings or schematics
- Identifying electronic components (ICs resistors capacitors connectors)
Preferred but not required:
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 standards
- Experience with microscopes multimeters or other electronics test equipment
- Experience in aerospace defense or high-reliability electronics manufacturing
Preferred qualities/skills:
2 years Quality Control experience in Receiving Inspection is preferred
Mechanical aptitude desired
Ability to read and inspect to materials test reports mechanical drawings and assembly drawings or specifications
Familiarity with Electronics Engineering/Technology Supply Chain Product Quality Control and Manufacturing best practices
Awareness of the different types of embedded computing products architectures and components
Proficient with relevant Quality Supply Chain and/or ERP tools.
Process Compliance experience in ISO9001 and AS9100.
