Requirements:
Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy from a COARC approved school
Current West Virginia State License for Respiratory Therapy
CPR Certification
ACLS
PALS
Minimum 1 year experience in an acute care setting
Responsibilities:
Administer respiratory care and life support treatments as ordered by physicians.
Provide diagnostic tests for cardiovascular and pulmonary systems to assist with diagnosis and treatment.
Ensure timely and accurate documentation of patient records into the hospitals Electronic Medical Records system (EMR).
Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities within the department.
Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient care.
Monitor patients for signs of respiratory distress and intervene as needed.
Maintain adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards.
Any other duties assigned.
