Core Responsibilities

• Architect the future of critical building systems by designing comprehensive plumbing and fire protection solutions for diverse commercial residential and institutional projects.

• Drive the production of meticulous construction documents drawings and specifications utilizing advanced production-level Revit modeling.

• Execute precise calculations system sizing and strategic equipment selection to ensure optimal performance safety and sustainability.

• Integrate complex systems seamlessly through proactive cross-disciplinary coordination with architects structural engineers and wider MEP teams.

• Steer the construction phase by conducting comprehensive field surveys site visits and construction administration tasks to safeguard design intent.

• Ensure unwavering compliance with stringent NYC Building Plumbing and Fire Codes alongside the highest industry best practices.

• Champion project delivery by upholding strict quality control standards while managing multiple tasks to meet vital project deadlines.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.

• 35 years of dedicated plumbing and fire protection design experience within the AEC industry.

• High-level proficiency in Revit with proven production-level capabilities.

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and standard industry design tools.

• Strong foundational understanding of building systems including domestic water sanitary storm gas and fire suppression systems.

• Familiarity and working knowledge of the NYC Building Code Plumbing Code and Fire Code.

Preferred Qualifications

• EIT (Engineer in Training) certification or active pursuit of Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.

• Proven track record of coordinating complex multi-system projects specifically within the dense New York City construction market.
