Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Gastroenterologist (MD or DO) who is Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical expertise a patient-centered approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality digestive health care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including endoscopies colonoscopies and liver biopsies to evaluate and manage gastrointestinal conditions.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including medical history review physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations.
- Diagnose and treat a broad spectrum of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patients medical history needs and preferences.
- Collaborate closely with physicians advanced practice providers nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated comprehensive care.
- Accurately and promptly document patient encounters treatment plans and follow-up recommendations in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Gastroenterology.
- Valid medical license to practice in the State of Hawaii (or eligibility for licensure).
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a practicing gastroenterologist following completion of an accredited gastroenterology fellowship program.
