The Camp Counselor will be provide mentorship and positive guidance to children and adults with disabilities while making a positive impact in the community. With in-depth training on disability adaptations accommodation and personal care needs you will gain critical experience in positive guidance techniques and program creation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead daily activities
- Provide opportunities for educational enrichment physical activity and healthy eating
- Build relationships with camp participants and families
- Assess implement evaluate and adapt camp activities
- Provide personal care needs and/or administer medication when needed
Shift Specifics:
This is a part-time position working 7:15 am-3 pm Monday Friday between June - July.
5-11 year old
| Week 1 June 22-26
|
12-16 year olds
| Week 2 July 6-10
|
17 year olds
| Week 3 July 20-24
|
Requirements
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Education and experience working with individuals with disabilities are preferred
