Logic Integration is a nationally recognized audiovisual integration firm headquartered in Lone Tree Colorado. We design engineer install and support advanced AV lighting shading and automation systems for commercial and residential clients across the United States. Our team delivers approximately 200 projects annually ranging from $25K to $2M and we hold ourselves to the highest standards of quality craftsmanship and professionalism.
Role Summary
The Commercial Project Manager is responsible for the successful execution of 80100 commercial AV projects per year or 15-20 projects (from contract handoff through final closeout at a time) and service department transition. This role carries full ownership of project budget profitability schedule labor utilization change order management billing accuracy documentation and client satisfaction
The Commercial PM directly manages Project Foremen (Level 3 Technicians) and all technicians assigned to their projects. This is a leadership role that requires the ability to drive financial outcomes hold teams accountable and maintain proactive communication with clients general contractors architects and internal stakeholders.
This role blends field oversight with in-house project management and works cross-functionally with Sales Design Engineering Operations Procurement and Finance. The Commercial PM is accountable for EOS scorecard performance progress billing and the financial health of every project in their portfolio.
Core Responsibilities
Budget Profitability & Financial Management
Own the financial health of all assigned commercial projects this is the primary accountability of this role
Manage project budgets from kickoff through closeout including labor materials subcontractors rental equipment and travel costs
Monitor project profitability in real time; identify budget variances early and implement corrective actions immediately
Track and manage all change orders ensure every scope change is documented priced approved by the client and reflected in the project budget before work is performed
Manage Time & Materials (T&M) work with accurate tracking of labor hours and material usage; ensure T&M does not erode project margin
Provide bi-monthly reporting to clients sales and stakeholders on labor usage cost-to-complete and project margin
Ensure all technician labor hours are entered accurately on time and aligned with approved scope and schedule
Submit complete and accurate billing documentation including labor summaries material confirmations and change order approvals
Time Management & Labor Utilization
Manage labor allocation across 80100 active projects; ensure the right technicians are on the right jobs at the right time
Ensure technician labor utilization meets company standards:
- 65% minimum billable utilization
- 70% rolling monthly average
- 75% long-term target
Monitor billable vs. unbillable labor ratios and take corrective action when targets are not met
Verify that all field time tracking is accurate complete and submitted cross-check and verify the entire week by Thursday at 5:30 PM
Coordinate labor forecasting with Operations to ensure adequate staffing for upcoming project phases
Minimize non-billable time by proactively managing schedules material readiness and site access
Change Order Management
Identify scope changes as they arise on-site or through client/GC requests do not allow untracked scope creep
Document and price all change orders promptly; submit to client for approval before authorizing additional work
Maintain a running change order log for each project with status tracking (submitted approved invoiced)
Ensure approved change orders are reflected in updated project budgets schedules and billing milestones
Communicate change order impacts to field teams Sales and Finance in a timely manner
Project Execution & Scheduling
Own overall project execution from kickoff through final closeout and 60-day service transition
Create maintain and actively manage project schedules including milestones labor forecasting and material readiness
Partner with Sales Design Engineering Operations and Procurement to ensure timely high-quality project delivery
Maintain a thorough understanding of project scope drawings specifications and contract terms for every active project
Establish and manage material need-by dates with Sales Design and Procurement; prevent material delays from impacting schedule
Coordinate mobilization efforts site readiness and travel logistics for all assigned projects
Communicate schedule changes risks and impacts clearly to internal teams and clients
Team Leadership & People Management
Directly manage Project Foremen (Level 3 Technicians) and all technicians assigned to your projects
Set clear expectations for quality pace communication and professionalism on every job site
Delegate effectively through your Foremen; ensure they are empowered to lead daily field execution
Conduct regular site visits to assess progress quality and team performance maintain consistent presence with your crews
Provide feedback to Operations on technician performance skill gaps and development opportunities
Assist Operations with training mentoring and onboarding of installation staff as needed
Hold team members accountable for time tracking accuracy documentation compliance and installation quality
Promote a collaborative accountable and professional team environment
Client & Stakeholder Relations
Serve as the primary liaison between clients and Logic Integration throughout the project lifecycle
Attend and lead project meetings; maintain clear professional written and verbal communication
Build and maintain relationships with general contractors architects IT teams electrical contractors and other trades
Coordinate with other trades on conduit systems electrical provisions cable pathways and infrastructure requirements
Ensure alignment on project requirements timelines and expectations with all external stakeholders
Maintain regular site visit cadence meet with clients build teams and stakeholders consistently
System Commissioning & Closeout
Coordinate system commissioning with programming engineering and sales teams
Oversee final system testing and ensure all systems meet performance usability and client expectations
Lead final walkthroughs punch-list generation and punch-list completion
Issue substantial completion notification when systems are in use with only minor punch-list items remaining
Provide final sign-off when all punch-list items are resolved
Coordinate client training at project close in partnership with Sales
Ensure all closeout documentation is complete: as-builts system photos owners manuals job completion forms
Transition completed projects to the Service Department within 60 days of final sign-off
Documentation & Reporting
Ensure daily time tracking job-site photos and detailed project notes are accurately recorded by every technician in the field
Verify that field documentation supports progress reporting billing accuracy and permanent project records
Enforce company standards for documentation accuracy completeness and timeliness
Maintain comprehensive documentation for all projects new active and completed
Provide accurate progress billing and final billing information to Finance
Ensure progress invoices are issued accurately and on time to support company cash-flow objectives
Submit client billing within 14 business days for out-of-town projects after the team returns
Track expenses and submit all travel receipts promptly
EOS Accountability & Performance Metrics
Own assigned EOS Scorecard metrics and quarterly Rocks
Provide weekly updates on to-dos issues and Rocks
Actively manage KPIs including:
- Labor efficiency and utilization
- Billable vs. unbillable labor ratios
- Project margin performance
- Change order capture rate
- Billing accuracy and timeliness
Identify risks to scorecard performance early and implement corrective actions
Provide accurate data for EOS Level 10 meetings scorecard reviews and quarterly planning
Industry Standards Alignment (AVIXA / InfoComm)

OSHA Construction Safety Standards ensure all field teams comply with PPE fall protection and site safety requirements
The PM does not need to perform installations but must understand these standards well enough to hold field teams accountable for compliance and quality.

Required Qualifications 35 years of experience in commercial AV project management or a combination of AV installation and project management Proven ability to manage project budgets track profitability and control costs Experience managing 50 concurrent projects (80100 target for this role) Strong understanding of AV systems integration workflows and commercial construction coordination Demonstrated leadership experience managing field teams foremen and subcontractors Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with project management software ERP/job costing tools and Microsoft Office Suite Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage shifting priorities across a large project portfolio Self-motivated detail-oriented and capable of working independently Professional demeanor with strong client-facing and team leadership skills Preferred Qualifications AVIXA CTS or CTS-D certification PMP certification Experience with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) Experience with Zoho Projects D-Tools or similar AV project management platforms Understanding of AV-over-IP networked audio (Dante) and UC/collaboration platforms OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification Experience managing projects ranging from $25K to $2M
Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of experience in the audio-visual industry with at least 2 years in a supervisory in installing and configuring AV systems including projectors displays sound systems and control understanding of low voltage wiring signal flow and AV system leadership and communication to work independently and as part of a drivers license and reliable transportation.
