Job Summary

Adelphi is seeking a substitute Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/ Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide nursing support services in a school setting located in San Antonio Texas.

The ideal candidate will assist in delivering student care under established protocols while collaborating with school staff and supervising RNs.

Current CPR/BLS certification

Responsibilities:

Provide basic nursing care and first aid for student illness or injury

Perform routine clinical procedures (vitals glucose checks inhaler/nebulizer support)

Administer medications as allowed by licensure and school policy

Implement existing care plans (IHPs/EAPs) but does not create or modify them

Support health office operations and maintain a safe clinical environment

Assist with infection control and communicable disease monitoring

Participate in emergency response and student stabilization

Report and escalate more complex conditions to the RN

Any other duties as assigned
