As a Locum Psychiatry MD/DO you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating mental health disorders while working closely with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. This role is essential in ensuring that our patients receive high-quality care and support during their treatment journey
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Provide psychotherapy and medication management
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for holistic patient care
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary
Document patient interactions and treatment plans accurately
Stay informed on the latest developments in psychiatric medicine
Participate in staff meetings and case discussions
Requirements
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
Active medical license to practice in the state of Arkansas
Experience in psychiatric care preferably in a clinical setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
Flexibility to adapt to varying patient needs and schedules
Shifts: 24-hour call
Schedule: Clinic Monday-Friday (8a-5p) and beeper call on weeknights/weekends
Duties: Evaluations and treatment consults on the floor and in the ED and admissions
Support Staff: APRN nurses case management and Hospitalist
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
