. This contract position is offered on-site providing a unique opportunity to contribute to patient care in a supportive medical practice environment.

As a Locum Psychiatry MD/DO you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating mental health disorders while working closely with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. This role is essential in ensuring that our patients receive high-quality care and support during their treatment journey

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Provide psychotherapy and medication management
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for holistic patient care
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary
• Document patient interactions and treatment plans accurately
• Stay informed on the latest developments in psychiatric medicine
• Participate in staff meetings and case discussions

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Active medical license to practice in the state of Arkansas
• Experience in psychiatric care preferably in a clinical setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
• Flexibility to adapt to varying patient needs and schedules

Shifts: 24-hour call

Schedule: Clinic Monday-Friday (8a-5p) and beeper call on weeknights/weekends

Daily Volume: 8-16 patients 4-7 admissions/consults

Patient Population: Ages 55

Setting: Inpatient 14-bed geriatric psychiatric floor

Duties: Evaluations and treatment consults on the floor and in the ED and admissions

Support Staff: APRN nurses case management and Hospitalist

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
