Job description
We are a British-owned company that manufactures (mainly) toys in Asia. We are looking for someone based in Gò Công Tiền Giang (Vietnam) with a background as a quality inspector (of Toys would be a bonus) who could fulfill a quality control role performing in-line inspection and FRI reports. The Quality Inspector is responsible for the standard quality of our products in Vietnam. We are looking for a flexible independent and detail-oriented person. The candidate should possess knowledge of techniques and production processes and be willing to enlarge his/her skill set in the industry. It is also a plus if you have strong logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Working location: The Inspector will be based in the factories (Gò Công Tiền Giang)
What you will contribute during your time with the company:
- Carry out in-line instructions ensuring that products comply with our requirements from all production sections including the quality of single parts to finished goods of packing.
- Double-check the quality control process of each production section to ensure adherence to the quality control process.
- Conduct random checks of pull test records transportation tests for boxes etc.
- Identify and address all quality issues from in-line inspections ensuring improvements meet our requirements.
- Verify that all reference samples at the production section are correct as per our requirements
- Conduct final random inspections based on AQL level II.
- Check incoming materials in case of any issues comparing them with approval samples and material swatches.
- Discuss quality issues and product requirements with vendors to ensure compliance with our requirements.
- Educate QA/QC staff at vendors to understand our products and requirements.
Requirements
- 5 years experience in quality inspection within the Garment Toys or Footwear industry.
- Familiarity with quality control techniques and production processes in the relevant industry
- A textile/Garment Engineer Degree is preferable
- Ability to work flexibly and independently
- English communication skills are an advantage
- Willing to relocate to work onsite at the factory
