Driver (Pickup van)
Job Summary
Role Purpose
The Pickup Van Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of materials tools and personnel. This role requires a high level of reliability as project timelines often depend on the "last-mile" delivery of critical equipment or urgent documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Material Transport: Safely load secure and deliver construction materials tools and small equipment to various site locations.
Documentation Handling: Coordinate with the Document Controller to deliver physical blueprints permits and sensitive contracts that require "wet signatures."
Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct daily pre-trip inspections (fluids tire pressure lights) and maintain a clean organized cabin and cargo area.
Route Optimization: Plan the most efficient routes to ensure on-time delivery while minimizing fuel consumption and avoiding traffic delays.
Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to all traffic laws and site-specific safety protocols (e.g. speed limits in "Live" construction zones).
Loading/Unloading: Assist Skilled Labor in the manual loading and unloading of the van ensuring heavy items are distributed for vehicle balance.

Required Skills:
Physical Fitness: Ability to lift carry and move heavy materials; work in confined or elevated spaces. Knowledge: Basic understanding of insulation materials tools and techniques (training is usually provided for helpers). Team Player: Willingness to work under supervision and assist skilled workers.
