Executive Housekeeper

Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Executive Housekeeper for a luxury 5-star lodge based in Hoedspruit. This role is ideal for a strong leader with a passion for exceptional guest service high housekeeping standards and team development within a high-end lodge environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full responsibility for the Housekeeping Division ensuring smooth and efficient daily operations
  
• Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and attention to detail in guest accommodation and all public areas
  
• Conduct daily room checks to ensure 5-star presentation and service standards are upheld
  
• Report maintenance issues promptly and oversee pest control measures
  
• Supervise and manage all laundry operations including guest lodge and staff laundry
  
• Oversee housekeeping budgets purchasing and cost control
  
• Monitor stock levels of linen guest amenities cleaning materials and in-room items
  
• Conduct regular stocktakes and manage GRVs pricing updates and budget tracking
  
• Lead train and motivate the housekeeping team to deliver exceptional guest service
  
• Manage staff performance scheduling and leave cycles
  
• Assist with front-of-house duties during guest arrivals departures and site inspections when required
  
• Engage with guests and contribute to an outstanding overall lodge experience
  

Requirements:

• Minimum 23 years experience in a Housekeeping Management role within a 5-star lodge or boutique environment
  
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and develop staff
  
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  
• Strong guest focus with the ability to exceed expectations
  
• Budgeting and stock control experience essential
  
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  
• Computer literate
  
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  
• Positive energetic and adaptable with a proactive approach
  
• Ability to work well within a team environment
  

Package & Benefits:

• Salary of R12000 R14000 depending on experience
