Reservations Consultant Luxury Property Group Franschhoek
Salary: R15000 R20000 Negotiable DOE
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Reservations Consultant for a luxury property group based in Franschhoek. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional with strong administrative skills and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
The successful candidate will manage reservations across multiple channels provide accurate information to guests and agents and support the operational and financial aspects of bookings.
Key Responsibilities:
Administration
Respond promptly and accurately to all incoming emails and messages
Answer phone calls courteously and professionally
Ensure all reservations are efficiently handled and accurately recorded in the PMS
Maintain full knowledge of all rates including rack and contracted STO rates
Keep reservation records organised and easily retrievable
Be fully conversant with internal PMS and external booking systems (e.g. )
Check daily bookings prior to guest arrival for accuracy and confirmations
Follow up on provisional reservations before expiry
Track reservations accurately for statistical purposes
Maintain and utilise guest history files correctly
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of rooms suites activities facilities and local area competitors
Understand all special offers and property logistics providing guidance to guests and agents
Financial Responsibilities
Ensure all reservations are quoted and confirmed at correct rates with all applicable charges added
Ensure deposits are collected within 14 days of reservation
Monitor payments according to terms and conditions and flag any delayed or outstanding payments to the Reservations Manager
Miscellaneous
Maintain a professional and positive attitude in all guest and client interactions
Liaise with the operations team regarding ongoing client requirements
Pass potential leads to the sales department for future business development
Identify and communicate any special requests or potential issues to the Reception Manager
Undertake and complete special projects as required by the Reservations Manager or Sales and Marketing teams
Requirements:
Previous experience in a reservations or hospitality role preferred
Excellent organisational administrative and time management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Proficient in Microsoft Office and reservation systems
Professional courteous and guest-focused approach
Working Hours:
Full-time Monday to Friday 08:00 17:00 based in Franschhoek office
