The Partnerships and Commissions - Te Aukaha branch of the Department of Internal Affairs supports some of Aotearoas most significant democratic and community functions. Our portfolio spans national institutions commissions Ministerial Services and community-based operations that support the Prime Minister Ministers and the Executive.

VIP Transport part of Ministerial Services provides highquality chauffeuring and safe professional transport to Ministers of the Crown Judges distinguished guests international dignitaries and other authorised passengers.

The role Te tūnga

We are looking for two parttime Chauffeurs to join our Wellingtonbased VIP Transport team. These roles are central to ensuring exceptional customer service safe transport and seamless support for the executive arm of government.

You will deliver highquality chauffeuring services providing safe and professional transport to Ministers of the Crown Judges distinguished guests visitors to New Zealand and other authorised passengers. Youll uphold security and protocol standards maintain and groom vehicles to a high standard and respond to changing passenger needs with professionalism and discretion. These roles operate on rostered shifts which may include early mornings nights and weekends.

What you bring Nōu te rourou

  • Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage and meet customer expectations and engaged with a wide range of people.
  • A current Class 1 drivers licence and P-Licence with a clean driving record.
  • Excellent knowledge of Wellington suburbs and key locations across the lower North Island.
  • Confident IT capability including the use of apps mapping tools and invehicle technology.
  • Knowledge of relevant transport regulations and the ability to apply them in practice.
  • Flexibility to work rostered shifts including weekends evenings and early mornings.
  • A high level of discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.

The appointing range for this role $$63786 - $76000depending on your level of experience. Please note the salary range is pro rata.
