As a Senior Manufacturing Manager youll play a pivotal role in advancing Medtronics mission to alleviate pain restore health and extend life for patients around the world. The Danvers facility is a cornerstone of Medtronics Cardiovascular and Neuroscience businesses supporting 11 of the 16 Operating Units in Medtronic. Danvers is also a vertically integrated supplier to many of the Medtronic facilities around the world. As the Senior Manufacturing Manager you will plan direct and coordinate all aspects of the value stream and its associated processes at the enterprise level. Youll guide daytoday execution and longterm strategy in a highly collaborative environment. You will ensure alignment with company objectives and operating budgets while meeting safety quality delivery and cost goals. This includes leading and coordinating activities across a cross functional team spanning engineering purchasing scheduling manufacturing operational excellence and in process quality functions.

In person collaboration is essential to our work. We operate onsite five days a week to foster professional growth strengthen cross functional partnerships and accelerate our ability to engineer the extraordinary.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals quality and cost objectives.

  • Serve as a catalyst for employee safety - driving a culture where proactive risk reduction continuous improvement and uncompromising safety standards are embedded in every process every decision and every team interaction.

  • Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction equipment efficiency and materials supply.

  • Plans and administers procedures and budgets.

  • Makes budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor.

  • Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function.

  • Develops schedules and workforce requirements for assigned areas.

  • Embrace the Medtronic Performance System (MPS) and implement One Best Way practices to improve local manufacturing and business processes.

  • Conduct daily Gemba walks to observe & understand the health of the overall system processes & workflows to understand the key opportunities and where to best direct short medium and long-term improvement activity & resources.

  • Management Skills:Management of Financial and Material Resources Critical Thinking Project Management Management of Personnel Resources Collaboration and Productivity Software Effective Communication Skills.

  • Functional Skills:Extrusion Braiding Machining and Manufacturing Technologies Proficient computer skills Data Science and Analysis Lean Manufacturing and continued improvement Managing Quality.


Must Have: Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role please ensure the minimum requirements are evident on your resume.

  • Bachelors degree required.

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant Manufacturing Warehouse and Distribution experience within a highly regulated industry and 5 years of Managerial experience;ORan advanced degree with a minimumof 5 years of relevant Manufacturing Warehouse and Distribution experience within a highly regulated industry and 5 years of Managerial experience.

Nice to Have

  • Degree in Engineering or Technical Sciences.

  • Master of Science / Advanced Degree preferred.

  • Medical Device Manufacturing experience within a cleanroom environment.

  • Experience effectively leveraging Gemba Walks.

  • DMAIC Lean / Six Sigma Certification.

  • Experience leading Kaizen events.

  • Demonstrated business acumen including P&L or cost center management.

  • Experience building and sustaining direct labor engagement programs.

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of employees.

  • OSHA 10-hr certification

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$136000.00 - $204000.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience certification/education market conditions and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
