ROLE OVERVIEW
The Logistics Intern supports the supply chain team by improving visibility efficiency and operational performance acrosslogisticsactivities for key strategic equipmentor/andoperationsspare parts. The internsupportsinventory operationshelpsoptimizeinventoryandincreasediscrepancy visibility by analyzing inventoryrecordsandidentifyinginconsistencies between systems and physical stock. The role also supports data analysis and reportingtotrack shipments inventory accuracy andlogisticsperformance metrics.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS
Analyze inventorydataand investigate discrepancies between systems and physical stock to improve inventory accuracy visibility.
Cleanselogisticsmaster datatosupport transactional accuracy (e.g.material record accuracy and completeness).
Support process improvement and optimization initiatives by reviewing current procedures and recommending data-driven improvements (e.g. warehouse layout transportation routes and end-user experience enhancements).
RESPONSIBILITIES
Inventory Accuracy & Data Integrity
Review and reconcile inventory records across systems;identifyroot causes of variances and propose corrective actions.
Supportannual orcycle count variance analysis and help standardize discrepancy reporting for improved visibility.
Cleanse andmaintainlogisticsmaster data to improve transactional accuracy and reporting reliability.
Assistwith purchase order housekeeping activities (e.g. data validation and PO closure).
Reporting & Performance Metrics
Participate in the development and maintenance ofdashboards/reports that highlight shipment status on-time delivery inventory accuracy and otherlogisticsKPIs.
Analyze trends and exceptions; summarize insights for the supply chain/logisticsteam to support decision-making.
Process Improvement & Optimization
Review currentlogisticsprocedures andidentifyopportunities to increase efficiency and enhance the internal end-user experience.
Support optimization projects such as evaluating warehouse layouts analyzing transportation routes and recommending data-driven improvements tologisticsoperations.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Currentlypursuing an undergraduate degree in LogisticsSupply ChainDataAnalytics ora related field.
Strong analytical skillswith the ability to interpret dataidentifyissues and communicate insights clearly;demonstratedproficiencyin Microsoft Excel (pivot tables lookups basic data modeling); Power BI experience(or similar visualization tools)preferred.
Ability to work with ERP and/or warehouse systems (e.g. SAP) to support shipment tracking inventory accuracy and reporting; familiarity with Procure-to-Pay (PR/PO GR/SES) concepts is a plus.
High attention to detail and comfort working with master data reports and transactional records (purchase orders shipments receipts).
Strong communicationskills (written and verbal) and ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders carriers and 3PL partners.
Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operations-focused environment.
Commitment to working safely and following applicable company policies/procedures while supporting time-sensitive deliverables.
