Job Summary
Certified Phlebotomist Technician
Portsmouth VA
Position Responsibilities:
- Perform basic approved testing procedures including routine screening tasks.
- Prepare samples and materials for secure and accurate transport.
- Conduct testing and analytical procedures in accordance with established organizational protocols.
- Follow all safety and compliance guidelines including proper handling storage and disposal of potentially hazardous materials and adhere to standard precautions to reduce risk of exposure.
- Provide required evaluations documentation and reporting in alignment with applicable program or organizational guidelines.
- Complete all mandatory annual training including (but not limited to) emergency preparedness safety compliance harassment prevention infection control and hazardous materials awareness.
- Maintain clear accurate and concise documentation related to services provided.
- Use and navigate automated systems and software platforms (such as electronic information or case management systems) to support daily operations.
Requirements
Specialty: Phlebotomist Technician
Certifications: BLS (AHA)
Experience: Possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience within the last three (3) years performing venipunctures and finger-sticks on patients from pediatric to geriatric
Schedule:Sunday through Saturday between 0645 and 1900- depending on clinic location.
