$26.55 - $39.85Where you will work:
Carolinas Medical Center which is a 900 bed trauma 1 hospital and provides music therapy services throughout all units. Our MT-BCs address symptom management and emotional support but also end-of-life support and rehabilitative work with other therapy teams. There are opportunities for group and individual sessions with a variety of patient populations including but not limited to behavioral health stroke/neurologic diagnoses surgical trauma general medical/surgical addiction and substance abuse antepartum and patients with altered mental status delirium and dementia.
Education
- Associates degree in art music or an education-related field required
- Bachelors degree preferred
Certifications
- National Certification in Music Therapy required for Music Therapists
- National Certification in Art Therapy preferred for Art Therapists
Experience
- Minimum of one year of experience in healthcare Art or Music Therapy
- At least one year of experience in a medical facility working with neonatal and pediatric populations
- Experience collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team required
- Experience in inpatient healthcare or music therapy program preferred
