Manager in Training (MIT) for Estate Sales Full Time- SD

Job Summary:

The Manager in Training (MIT) program is designed to develop future Retail Sales Managers at True Legacy Homes. As an MIT you will gain hands-on experience in estate sales operations team management and customer service. Under the guidance of a Retail Sales Manager you will learn how to lead a team drive sales and create a seamless shopping experience for customers.

Upon successful completion of the MIT program you will have the opportunity to advance into a Retail Sales Manager role where you will lead your own sales team.

MUST HAVE WEEKEND AVAILABILITY

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing estate sale events ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service.
• Support the Retail Sales Manager in team supervision training and performance management.
• Engage with customers provide product knowledge and ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Help with merchandising inventory organization and overall store presentation.
• Work closely with the Donation Team and Movers to facilitate seamless estate transitions.
• Uphold company policies procedures and safety standards.

Requirements:

• Valid Class C drivers license.
• Open availability (including weekends and holidays) to meet retail business needs.
• Verifiable 2 years or more experience in a retail or hospitality setting is required.
• Strong leadership potential with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced physically active environment.
• Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to communicate in English.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous supervisory experience in a retail or hospitality setting preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent travel within the county and occasionally to neighboring counties.
• Prolonged periods of sitting walking and standing.
• Ability to lift push pull up to 50lbs.
• Bending stooping climbing ladders or stairs.
• Repetitive motions involving wrists hands fingers and upper body.
• Ability to see and read computer screens small electronic devices and maps.
• Ability to detect specific noises for proper equipment operation.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment physical.

Work Environment:

• Work may involve exposure to dirt dust fumes loud noise or chemicals.
