DESCRIPTION:
Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as an IT Manager and contribute meaningfully at a global leader in serving science. Lead high-performing teams that enable groundbreaking research protect the environment and improve healthcare outcomes. As a technology leader youll drive innovation and digital transformation while ensuring seamless IT operations across the enterprise.
Youll oversee critical IT functions including infrastructure applications security and support services. Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand needs and deliver strategic solutions that advance our mission. Lead the implementation of new technologies and processes while maintaining strict compliance with industry regulations. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in service delivery.

REQUIREMENTS:
Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience or Bachelors Degree plus 8 years of experience in IT with 3 years in people management/leadership roles
Preferred Fields of Study: Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or related field
Industry certifications (ITIL PMP Agile etc.) highly valued
Strong expertise in IT infrastructure systems architecture enterprise applications and supply chain management
Demonstrated success managing IT projects and leading digital transformation initiatives
Experience working in regulated environments (GxP FDA etc.) and ensuring compliance
Advanced knowledge of ITIL processes IT security best practices and risk management
Excellent stakeholder management and ability to build partnerships across functions
Strong budget management and resource planning capabilities
Demonstrated ability to lead distributed teams
Outstanding communication and presentation skills
Experience with cloud technologies (AWS Azure) and modern IT architectures
Change management expertise and ability to drive organizational transformation
Proficiency with SDLC methodologies (Agile DevOps)
Travel may be required up to 25%
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in District of Columbia is $113500.00$151300.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company team and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
