Position Overview

As a Clinical Laboratory Technologist you will work under the guidance of the Laboratory Supervisor while contributing to a collaborative healthcare team dedicated to delivering rapid and reliable diagnostic information. Your expertise will support physicians and providers by ensuring precise laboratory testing and maintaining the highest standards of quality safety and efficiency.

What Youll Do

Perform Comprehensive Laboratory Testing

• Process and analyze a wide range of patient samples across Hematology Chemistry Microbiology and PCR testing.

Ensure Diagnostic Accuracy

• Review patient history and correlate it with laboratory results to support accurate clinical interpretation.

Maintain Quality & Compliance

• Perform and document quality control procedures and implement corrective actions when necessary.

• Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure laboratory instruments are operating at peak performance.

Manage Laboratory Data

• Accurately enter patient data into the laboratory information system and integrate results into the electronic medical record.

• Retrieve and interpret complex laboratory data for providers and clinical staff.

Support Safety & Laboratory Operations

• Properly handle and document hazardous materials and waste disposal.

• Perform safety inspections and maintain strict adherence to laboratory safety standards.

• Help maintain an organized clean and efficient laboratory environment.

Collaborate with the Healthcare Team

• Communicate effectively with providers and staff to ensure timely delivery of diagnostic information.

• Support laboratory operations with additional responsibilities as assigned.

Education & Experience

• Current New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License required

• 13 years of clinical laboratory experience preferred
