Division/Department Information:

Department of Business Analytics is one of seven departments in the Tobin College of Business. The department has 13 full-time faculty members as well as utilizes several adjuncts to cover courses in the Tobin core at the undergraduate and graduate level as well as offers degrees in B.S. in Business Analytics M.S. in Business Analytics and MBA concentrations of Business Analytics and Information Systems.

Responsibilities and Course Information:

We have teaching needs in business analytics courses at graduate and undergraduate level. Industry experience is highly preferred along with prior higher education experience in teaching business courses. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate or graduate courses willingness to teach in person on campus in Queens or Manhattan during the day hours of 9 to 6 pm for undergraduate courses and evenings for graduate courses generally start at 6:00 or 6:40 pm and run for two hours and fifty minutes. Candidates must be available to teach undergraduate courses on a two-day schedule during days either Monday/Thursday or Tuesday/Friday generally. Computer usage and application software familiarity is desirable and there is an expectation that the new faculty member will train on the use of Canvas our university learning management.

We are seeking candidates with expertise in one or more of the areas listed below:

  • Statistics (based on Excel). Courses are offered during weekdays only
  • Business Analytics (Based on Excel). Courses are offered during weekdays only
  • Data Visualization (Based on Tableau Power BI and R)
  • Computer Language (Basedon Python)
  • Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Advanced MS Office (Excel and Access).

Qualifications:

Masters degree and prior teaching experienced preferred in area or related field. Strong industry experience is strongly recommended.

Adjunct Instructor $5409 to $5659

In compliance with NYCs Pay Transparency Act the per course salary range for this position is $5409 - $7000.
