The Faculty of Health is dedicated to being at the forefront of teaching learning creating and social development and fostering cutting-edge research and discovery. As a Senior Lecturer in Social Work you will:

  • Lead unit and course teaching teams; collaborate across the faculty to design review and refine effective curricula and learning materials.
  • Embed industry clinical and/or research practice into unit and course design to enhance student learning engagement and success.
  • Lead the development and adoption of innovative learnercentred and researchinformed curriculum design across multiple levels and delivery modes.
  • Make a significant contribution to securing research and creative activity funding including competitive external grants commercialisation and translation funding.

To be successful as a Senior Lecturer youll have:

  • PhD in a relevant discipline and/or advanced qualifications and experience in the relevant discipline area
  • Eligibility for Membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
  • Nationally recognised research reputation underpinned by publications in quality books and journals
  • Proven research track record through recent published research outputs with the ability to contribute to research in the discipline school or faculty.
  • Excellent record of scholarly learning and teaching in UG and/or PG programs including innovative curriculum design and research supervision

As an Associate Professor in Social Work you will:

  • Take on course director and/or discipline leadership responsibilities.
  • Provide academic leadership in curriculum design and delivery leading teaching teams to develop innovative learnercentred researchinformed courses across disciplines and delivery modes.
  • Champion excellence and innovation in teaching practice embedding contemporary pedagogy industry clinical and researchled approaches to enhance student learning and employability.
  • Build capability and collaboration in teaching and learning mentoring academic staff fostering crossdisciplinary collaboration and leading pedagogical scholarship with national recognition.
  • Lead research teams to secure competitive commercialisation and translation funding demonstrating sustained funding success.
  • Drive inclusive authentic learning experiences designing accessible and collaborative learning opportunities that engage students staff industry and communities.

To be successful as an Associate Professor youll have:

  • PhD in a relevant discipline
  • Eligibility for Membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
  • Internationally recognised research reputation underpinned by publications in high quality books or journals
  • Success in obtaining and timely completion of competitive external research grants
  • Proven research track record through recent published research outputs with the ability to contribute to research in the discipline school or faculty.
