Impact Recruiting Solution is currently seeking an Intern to fill an opening with a network of federally qualified community health centers located in the Bronx New York. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive primary care to a diverse and underserved patient population within a mission-driven community health setting.

Work Schedule: This is a full-time position.

Qualifications:
Education: MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school and completion of an accredited residency program.
Licensure: Must have an active State medical license. Must be Board Certified.
Experience: Understanding of and passion for Community Healthcare is preferred.
Language: Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficient in conducting medical examinations ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests prescribing medications and utilizing electronic health records.
Soft Skills: Strong clinical judgment excellent communication skills empathy cultural competence and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
Examines or conducts tests on patients to provide information on medical conditions.
Analyzes records reports test results or examination information to diagnose the medical condition of the patient.
Prescribes or administers treatment therapy medication vaccination and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness disease or injury.
Explain procedures and discuss test results on prescribed treatments with patients.
Collects records and maintains patient information such as medical history reports and examination reports.
Refers patient to medical specialist or other practitioner when necessary. Complete and submit appropriate progress reports to the CMO.
Advises patients and the community concerning diet activity hygiene and disease prevention.
Maintains strict confidentiality and follows federal/state and organization regulations in this regard.
Plans implements or administers health programs or standards in the organization for information prevention or treatment of injury or illness.
Attends scheduled monthly and quarterly medical staff meetings as well as education meetings.
Agrees to see patients irrespective of their medical condition/diagnosis.
Provides 24-hour on-call service on a rotating weekly basis.
Conducts research to study anatomy and develop or test medications treatments or procedures to prevent or control disease injury.
Obtain and maintain admitting privileges to affiliated hospitals.
Perform other related duties as may be assigned.
