Job Summary


Parker Personal Care Homes (PPCH) is seeking a Licensed Therapist to provide outpatient personcentered integrated mental health services to individuals with complex diagnoses in the Colorado Springs and Pueblo regions. Individuals served through PPCH often receive HCBS Waiver services including the DD and SLS waivers and may also be involved with County or child welfare systems.

Therapists at PPCH provide individual family and group therapy; therapeutic supervised visitation; evaluations; assessments; case management; and ongoing support to ensure the selfworth health safety and welfare of individuals receiving services. This role requires strong clinical judgment excellent documentation skills and adherence to all applicable laws regulations and PPCH policies.


Compensation and Hours

  • This is an hourly position.
  • Weekly hours are dependent on caseload size and will increase as the caseload grows.
  • Each client case is assigned an approved number of service hours per week which determines the therapists billable and scheduled hours.
  • Additional hours may be available based on agency needs client acuity and therapist availability.

Essential Duties:

  • Provide therapeutic mental health and counseling services to adults adolescents and children with intellectual or developmental disabilities traumatic brain injuries behavioral challenges or other diagnoses in homes community settings or PPCH offices.
  • Maintain a caseload including regular communication with clients and caregivers and scheduling appointments.
  • Conduct evaluations assessments therapeutic interventions and case management services.
  • Assist with treatment planning discharge planning and followup care.
  • Prepare reports behavioral plans and other required documentation.
  • Build and maintain accurate case files and clinical records.
  • Support individuals in accessing and participating in community activities aligned with their interests behavioral plans and ISSPs.
  • Model respectful therapeutic support tailored to each individuals needs and behavioral plan.
  • Encourage independent decisionmaking and selfadvocacy.
  • Utilize internal and external resources to support additional services or interventions.
  • Ensure compliance with State Federal and PPCH policies procedures and regulations.

Education and Experience:

  • Masters degree in counseling social work or a related human services field.
  • Colorado licensure as LCSW LSW LPC or LMFT.
  • Minimum of three years of professional clinical experience.
  • Training or education in traumainformed therapies strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of community health care residential services and vocational services preferred.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including effective listening with individuals who may use nontraditional communication methods.
  • Ability to manage and maintain a clinical caseload.
  • Ability to schedule and conduct sessions in PPCH offices community locations or client homes.
  • Ability to respectfully address significant health and safety concerns while supporting individual choice.
  • Understanding of legal and ethical considerations related to client rights.
  • Ability to administer interpret and evaluate psychological assessments.
  • Strong organizational and timemanagement skills.
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback with clients families colleagues and leadership.
  • Valid drivers license and ability to meet PPCH driving and insurance requirements.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Therapy sessions and visits occur in Colorado Springs Pueblo and surrounding areas.
  • Sessions may take place in client homes community settings or PPCH offices including the PPCH Pueblo office at 323 South Union.
  • Occasional afterhours response may be required for emergency situations; this is not a crisisbased or 24/7 oncall position.
  • Regular driving throughout Colorado Springs Pueblo and the I25 corridor is required.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of up to 15 lbs.
  • May require physically assisting individuals including pushing or pulling wheelchairs.
