The ImmunoDiagnostics Division (IDD) is a division of the Specialty Diagnostics Group within Thermo Fisher Scientific. IDD develops manufactures and markets complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and follow-up of allergy and autoimmune diseases. The allergy and autoimmunity product lines operate on a common automated instrument platform Phadia Laboratory Systems which supports both productivity and cost efficiencies in clinical laboratories around the world.

How you will make an impact:

The Senior Financial Analyst is a key member of the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team within the Immunodiagnostics Division (IDD) at Thermo Fisher Scientific based in Uppsala Sweden. This role supports the end-to-end global P&L for the business and leads core FP&A activities partnering closely with commercial and functional leaders to drive growth profitability and informed decision-making.

As part of a high-impact finance team this position delivers complex financial analyses develops executive-ready reporting and builds scalable financial models and tools to enhance business visibility and performance. The Senior Financial Analyst leverages technical expertise automation and process improvements to increase efficiency simplify decision-making and accelerate business outcomes. Through rigorous forecasting reporting and strategic analysis this role provides actionable insights that shape financial performance and support long-term business objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support monthly close activities ensuring accurate and timely divisional reporting.

  • Perform consolidated financial analysis and prepare summary reports for divisional management.

  • Review revenue standard margin and key P&L drivers; conduct variance analysis against AOP and forecast.

  • Manage and maintain accurate financial data within corporate reporting systems to reflect current business performance.

  • Provide validated daily/weekly sales and portfolio reports to maintained distribution list

  • Support financial planning activities for the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) monthly forecasts Quarterly and Monthly Business Reviews (QBR/MBR) and Strategic 5-Year Plan (STRAP).

  • Act as liaison with Divisional finance to ensure compliance with corporate forecasting requirements and timely accurate submissions. First line support for PLN/CMR/HFM.

  • Develop advanced financial models dashboards and analytical tools to improve business decision-making.

  • Liaise with Group/Corporate on Corporate system developments and new system implementations.

  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses

  • Drive standardization and continuous improvement of reporting forecasting and analytical processes.

  • Identify and implement automation and AI opportunities; collaborate with IT and Centers of Excellence to enhance systems and workflows.

  • Investigate data issues identify root causes and partner cross-functionally to improve data quality and governance.

  • Champion productivity initiatives aligned with Practical Process Improvement (PPI).

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Information Access (Mircosoft SQL) HFM/PLN (Oracle smartview) GLA (SSAS) and BI tools (e.g. Power BI). Experience leveraging automation and AI to enhance financial reporting and analysis.

  • Demonstrated expertise in financial planning & analysis and financial modelling.

  • Strong analytical quantitative and critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex data variance analyses and multi-source datasets into clear actionable insights for senior leadership.

  • Proven ability to develop and implement robust financial processes identify control and process gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives including Practical Process Improvement (PPI).

  • Effective business partnering skills with a track record of building strong cross-functional and geographically dispersed relationships.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly present complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Self-motivated adaptable and demonstrates ownership and a strong bias for action.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting Finance Economics Business or other relevant analytical background

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis including FP&A or Controlling responsibilities.

  • Demonstrated experience operating within a corporate and/or global organization with exposure to multi-entity or multinational business environments.
