GRADE 6 30024 - 32061

37 HOURS PER WEEK

Wyre Council is seeking an enthusiastic and experiencedDeputy Customer Operations Managerto play a key role in delivering exceptional frontofhouse experiences for our audiences and hirers.

About the Role

Working closely with the Customer Operations Manager you will help lead the daytoday operation of Marine Hall acting as Duty Manager for performances and events supporting box office and bar operations and ensuring the highest standards of customer servicesafetyand housekeeping. This is a handson role in a busy vibrant theatre environment where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervising and motivating staffvolunteersand agency teams to deliver smooth and wellrun events
  • Acting as Duty Manager for shows and events including evenings and weekends
  • Supporting box office barcateringand frontofhouse operations
  • Managing stock control cashhandlingand financial returns in line with Council procedures
  • Leading on housekeeping standards COSHH compliance and venue presentation
  • Liaising with technical teamshirersand event companies to ensure successful delivery of events
  • Handling customer feedback and complaints professionally and promptly
  • Planning and costing events with prospective hirers alongside your line manager
  • Ensuring health safety and security standards aremet at all times including fire safety procedures

About you:

You will have excellent customer care and communication skillswith experience of working in a customerfacing supervisory or management role.

You will have a strong knowledge of barcateringor venue operations.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience of cash handling and financial procedures
  • A good understanding of health and safety requirements in a public venue
  • The ability to motivate develop and manage staff effectively

Ideallyyoullalso have:

  • Experience working in a theatre or similar events venue
  • Event or show management experience
  • Experience using box office or EPOS systems
  • A management qualification and/or PersonalLicense(or willingness to obtain one)

Working Pattern

Marine Halloperatesa sevenday service. This role includes evening and weekendworking which is reflected in the are managed through theannualisedhours scheme.
