What We Do (The Team Youll Be Part Of):
The HR Representative Sr will interact with all levels of the organization as well as external clients/contacts and support the day-to-day operations of theHR Services department.
How Youll Make An Impact:
Facilitates HR support activities and transactions in coordination with the HR Business Partners HR Solutions and third-party vendors.
This includes preparing documentation and processing of employment-related changes such as separations leave of absence (LOA) ECD promotions transfers secondments manager changes contract end dates work permit expiry.
This also includes managing the FIC Operations mailbox by distributing the emails to the appropriate groups for action.
Co-ordination of employee immigration and relocation process.
Employee Immigration: Preparation of documentation required to support work authorization.
Relocation: Preparation of relocation agreements initiation of relocation process with the external vendor and managing the employees relocation from start to finish (reviewing expense reports obtaining approval for exception requests etc.).
Perform systems audit comparing information in HR System with the data in the payroll system to ensure the information is the same. Audit the Manulife invoice to ensure accurate billing received and requesting the wire transfer for payment.
Create and maintain job codes in the HR System and assist with job evaluations as required.
Assist with the management of the compensation cycles.
Assist with Compensation Plan Management which includes reviewing Compensation Plan document to ensure that it reflects the components of the approved Plan distribution of Compensation Plan to employees tracking receipt of signed documents and filing in the employees file.
Assist in the administration of Wellness programs.
Assigned to HR projects/assignments (e.g. competitor research salary surveys annual benefit statements ad hoc reports). Acts as back up for the phone lines for HR Solutions which involves answering calls regarding employment compensation time away from work policies and providing education on various HR tools and resources.
What We Are Looking For:
Completion of college diploma or degree preferably in Human Resources Management or equivalent experience
Minimum of 2 years experience in a Human Resources administration and/or Human Resources operations role is required ideally in the financial services industry
Exposure to employee relocation and immigration cases is required
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills are required
Experience with Workday is an asset
CHRP designation is an asset
Knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and general HR practices
Works with urgency
Work well under pressure while maintaining high standards
Enjoy finding better ways to do things
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable juggling multiple priorities and expert time management skills
Maintains confidentiality and discretion
Skilled at researching and analyzing trends and interdependencies of HR operational work
Competitive Pay for Specialized Talent:
This contract role offers a flexible hourly compensation model that reflects your expertise and the value you bring. The hourly rate ranges from $38.00 to $50.00 based on experience and qualifications.
