In this role you will:
- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
- Update and manage environmental data and reporting in our Environmental Data Management System (EMS)
- Assist with on-site research and development activities as well as monitoring sampling inspecting and reporting for environmental reclamation and geotechnical compliance
- Water movement tracking water management and water treatment
- Project Management tasks including safety and contractor supervision and project planning
- Involvement in wildlife monitoring projects and Biodiversity Management Plan updates
- Create and evaluate innovative ideas and technologies to help improve the way we do business
Requirements:
- Working towards an Undergraduate degree in Environmental Science Environmental Engineering Biology Forestry or Hydrology
- A valid Class 5 Drivers License or extra-provincial equivalent without learners restrictions
- Able to operate vehicles at our operations in various weather conditions and terrain
- Motivated self-starters with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously
- Comfortable working in a dynamic work environment with a willingness to work outdoors
- Strong written verbal and interpersonal communication skills with a capability to communicate complex ideas to all levels and partners
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel PowerPoint Access)
$4275 - $5417 a month
Salary is commensurate with the number of academic semesters and prior co-op experiences completed.
