What youll do

Responsibilities

• Design build and maintain APls services and systems across Stripes engineering teams using Ruby Java and Go
• Build software infrastructure including developing testing and deploying it
• Design and develop software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design
• Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures programming and documentation
• Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack
• Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine the feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
• Work with engineers across the company to build new features at large-scale; Build new systems to securely store sensitive data; Improve engineering standards tooling and processes.

Who you are

Minimum requirements

This position requires the following:

• Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science Software Engineering Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 1 year of Software Engineering experience.
• 1 year of experience working with Python Java Go programming languages.
• 1 year of experience working with AWS cloud infrastructure (e.g. S3 EC2 EBS etc.).
• 1 year of experience implementing industry standard design patterns.
• 1 year of software engineering experience in building distributed backend applications at scale.
• 1 year of software engineering experience in building low latency systems.

Pay and benefits

Salary : $156800 - $235200/yr.

40 hrs/week

50% Telecommuting Permitted.
