The main duties of the Technician are to ensure that all electrical schematics and instrumentation are calibrated and current troubleshooting during unscheduled equipment downtime repairs and complete preventive maintenance work at MCC:Compensation: $31-$33.00/hrThis is a 2nd Shift and a 3rd Shift openingGenerous benefits package including medical dental vision disability life insurance and 401(k)Paid Holidays: New Years Memorial Day Fourth of July Labor Day Thanksgiving Day after Thanksgiving Christmas Eve Christmas Day plus two floating HolidaysResponsibilities:Support and adhere to all plant safety policies and procedures at all times as well as promoting a safety culture and awareness within their all quality and food safety practices are followed at all times in support of BRC (British Retail Consortium)Assist other Technicians in the repair and maintenance of printing presses finishing equipment and support equipment in a safe allmaintenanceactivities such as predictive and preventativemaintenance work orders and improvement projects via the CMMS and perform allmaintenanceactivities (PM work orders improvement projects etc.) to effectively balancemaintenanceand production a timely practical and professional response to work orders including the ability to communicate with press operators to understand and diagnose equipment cause analysis to troubleshoot and eliminate primary causes of downtime etc. to improve OEE (overall equipment effectiveness).Maintain good housekeeping in the work areas and maintenance machine operators in a positive manner on the proper way to operate in special projects and perform other duties as :3-5 years of demonstrated experience in electrical mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic applications. HVAC experience with process chillers is a of AC/DC variable frequency drives (VFDs) servo motors and controls to read electrical and pneumatic schematicsAbility to use test equipment (multi-meter laptop micrometers calipers infrared guns etc.) to aid in troubleshooting equipment troubleshoot PLCs and their inputs/outputs. Programming of PLCs is not requiredGeneral skills relating to the use of shop equipment such as drill presses power tools mills and with computers such as email internet and MS Office applications. Prior CMMS experience physical ability to climb stairs bend sit stand walk reach with arms push pull and use hands and fingers to feel and handle material for extended time have ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds repeatedly and regularly. Includes the ability to stoop squat crawl and kneel as be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize have strong problem solving skills and attention to communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members and have ability to multi-task and to identify and execute process improvements as -Mechanical studies strongly preferred but not necessary.#KNOIND
