Our 2035 Innovation Strategy focuses on digital transformation automation and smart manufacturing and we are seeking a Quality Supervisor to play a pivotal role in achieving these ambitious Summary:The Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing quality assurance processes within the injection molding production environment. This role ensures that all products meet customer specifications regulatory requirements and company quality standards. The Quality Supervisor leads a team of quality inspectors technicians and engineers drives continuous improvement initiatives and collaborates with production and engineering teams to resolve quality : $92000 to $125285Essential Duties/Responsibilities:Quality AssuranceOversee the inspection and testing of plastic components to ensure compliance with customer and enforce quality standards procedures and work non-conforming materials and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 ISO 13485 MedAccred or other relevant industry root cause analysis (RCA) and lead corrective action implementation for quality first article inspections and establish in-process quality Leadership & DevelopmentSupervise and train quality inspectors and technicians on inspection techniques measurement tools programming and quality daily tasks and monitor performance to ensure adherence to quality coaching and conduct performance evaluations for the quality a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the quality Improvement & ComplianceIdentify and implement areas for improvement within the QMS to support division and corporate continuous improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma and other quality methodologies. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve mold validation and process and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work compliance with customer-specific requirements and industry & Supplier RelationsAddress customer complaints and work with teams to implement corrective in supplier quality audits and work with vendors on quality-related internal and external audits preparing reports and corrective action responses as Qualifications:Associates or Bachelors degree in Engineering Quality or a related field (or equivalent experience).A minimum of two years experience with supervising or managing a team.A minimum of three years experience with recognized quality systems (ISO AS QS).A minimum of two years experience with medical quality systems such as ISO 13485.A minimum of five years experience working in quality assurance. A minimum of five years experience within an injection molding or plastics manufacturing with quality inspection tools (calipers micrometers CMM vision systems etc.).Experience with SPC FMEA PPAP APQP MSA and GD&T of ISO 9001 ISO 13485 and regulatory to interpret engineering drawings and written and verbal communication skills with all levels of employees suppliers and customers. Strong leadership and management skills. Experience in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective & Preventive ActionAbility to analyze data assess processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Certifications (Preferred): Six Sigma Green Belt ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).Physical Requirements: Ability to stand walk and move around the production floor for extended of lifting and carrying heavy objects weighing up to 50 dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling small tools machine components and to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses gloves and ear bending kneeling and reaching to access equipment if vision and color perception for inspecting parts and identifying any defects or to work in temperature-controlled environments and withstand exposure to noise levels associated with manufacturing to receive comprehend and utilize required training from OSHA and Company including but not limited to the following:Hazard Communication Lock Out/Tag Out First Aid and CPR (optional)ITAR Requirements: To conform to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) applicants for employment at PTA Plastics must be a U.S. citizen or national lawfully admitted for permanent residence into the U.S. (i.e. current green card holder) or lawfully admitted as a refugee or granted asylum under 8 U.S.C.
